Rebel Regiment Director C. Phillip McIntyre became the winningest director in South Carolina history with his 10th state championship last Saturday, 28 October 2006.
Mr. McIntyre is also the first director in South Carolina history to win a Bands of America Regional Championship. The Rebel Regiment won the BOA Regional Championship in 1999 and has won 5 other BOA Regional Class Championships.

The James F. Byrnes Rebel Regiment claimed their 10th South Carolina State Marching Band Championship on Saturday, 28 October 2006. Performing last, the RR left no doubt that they were the top band in the state, impressing the judges and the audience with their rich, beautifully balanced sound and their precise, intricate, and stimulating drill.
RR Wins 14th Upper State Title!! - updated 06 Nov 2006
The Rebel Regiment won its 14th SC Upper State championship on Saturday 21 October 2006. Despite performing before all of the other top contenders, the Rebel Regiment delivered a fantastic performance and brought home the title!

Congratulations to the Northwestern High School marching band, Grand Champions at the 23rd annual James F. Byrnes Tournament of Bands. Northwestern won the grand championship with a score of 89.3, edging second-place Dorman High School who received a score of 87.5.
Grand Champs at Dorman! - updated 25 Sep 2005
The Rebel Regiment won their 62nd grand championship Sept. 24th at the Dorman High School Cavalier Clash. The Rebels finished first with a score of 88.9, easily besting Clover (86.9) and Rock Hill (86.3). The Rebel Regiment also took caption awards for best horn line and best colorguard.
The Rebel Regiment will perform next week in exhibition at the James F. Byrnes Tournament of Bands.

Congrats to the Rebel Regiment as they won the Grand Championship at Irmo on Sat 25 Sept. It was their first competition of the season.

The Rebel Regiment has announced their competitive field show for the 2004 season. They will be playing music from the motion picture "The Mummy". More details will be forthcoming.
New Uniforms, Trip to Hawaii - updated 03 Dec 2003
The next year should be an exciting one for the Rebel Regiment as the school board has authorized $75,000 for the purchase of new uniforms and the band has been invited to perform in Hawaii on 7 Dec 2004 to commemorate the 63rd anniversary of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.
Once the design for the new uniforms has been finalized, it will be posted on this web site. There is a meeting 15 Dec 2003 at 7:30 PM in the Byrnes High cafeteria for those who are interested in going to Hawaii with the band.
16th Straight Top-2 Finish - updated 26 Oct 2003
The Rebel Regiment finished 2nd at the SC 4A state championships on 25 Oct. 2003 with a score of 95.70. This is the 16th consecutive year the RR has finished either 1st or 2nd at both upper state and state. Fort Mill won the title with a score of 96.95.

The Rebel Regiment won their 12th consecutive SC 4A upper state championship Saturday! The band will vie for their 6th consecutive state title, and 8th in 10 years, Sat. 25 Oct. at Batesburg-Leesville HS.
